Gas control points block GRPB (PGB) are used to reduce high or medium pressure to the required, automatically maintain the specified output pressure regardless of changes in flow and inlet pressure, automatically shut off the gas supply in case of emergency increase and decrease in output pressure above permissible values, as well as for commercial accounting of gas flow. GRPB (PGB) may consist of the following premises: The composition of the GRPB (PGB), depending on the terms of reference, may include:

  • gas pressure reduction unit,
  • block heating unit (boiler room),
  • telemetry system.
Turbine, rotary, ultrasonic, vortex and other meters can be used as a gas flow metering unit. The telemetry system is designed for continuous remote monitoring of GRPB technological parameters via wired or mobile communication channels, for performing emergency protection functions, as well as issuing emergency signals to the operator or dispatcher in case of violations of the GRPB (PGB) operating mode.
